Contract Information Architect at Opodo

We're currently looking for an experienced contract IA to work here at Opodo, a major European online travel company.
We need someone to start in January (immediately after the Christmas break), for three months initially.

Position: Information Architect (Contract)
Role Responsibilities
Understanding Business Requirements
· Working with project sponsors to define the design implications coming from the business requirements.
· Using high level illustrations and diagrams (screen flows, rough wideframes) to clarify areas of uncertainty.
· Drafting a design brief (i.e. an outline of the impact to the information architecture and the graphic design, and detail of upcoming tasks).
· Confirming design brief with project sponsors and technical team
Creating wireframes, screenflow diagrams
· Drafting the document that will be used to sign off on the exact functionality and interaction design changes.
· Defining the low level scope, with the technical architect, based on the wireframes.
Assisting with screencomps, drafting and functional spec
· Working with graphic designers to translate wireframes into final screen designs.
· Defining the lower level interaction and the functional details in the functional spec, which will be used by the tech team in implementation.
Implementation Support
· Ongoing QA to ensure implementation reflects the original business requirements and design documentation · Responding to tech team requests for additional clarification on documentation and/or unforeseen problems with the design specified.
Ongoing Information Architecture Support
· Maintaing a holistic, and detailed view, of the design for the entire site.
· Maintaining the documentation for the entire site.
· Ensuring consistency in interaction design, naming systems, navigational elements.
· Evolving the design in response to the demands of new projects.
Skill Requirement
· High level of understanding of business and brand Strategy.
· Strong background in information design (layout and forms design), interaction design (navigational systems) and usability.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Technology background is a plus.
· Communication and presentation skills
Technical Requirement
· Visio
· MS Office
· Basic Photoshop skills
· Basic Illustrator skills
· Bug tracking software, ideally Mercury Test Director · Version control software, ideally Source Safe
