Title: User Interface Designer
Location: San Jose
DESCRIPTION
Adobe is seeking a creative, self-motivated and enthusiastic User Interface Designer for a new project in the Creative Suite. The candidate will be responsible for creating design solutions using a user-centered design process. The design solutions may include detailed mockups, UI specifications, flowcharts, storyboards and other forms of prototypes. The candidate will collaborate with other user interface designers and visual designers to maintain a consistent look and feel across Adobe's Creative Suite product line. In addition to user interface design, the candidate will also be responsible for conducting user research. The research responsibilities include qualitative and quantitative user research to inform feature concepts and designs. The candidate will be responsible for delivering user research plans, recruiting users, conducting lab and field studies, reporting and prioritizing issues and proposing recommendations.
The candidate will work both independently and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary teams of UI, engineering, marketing, quality assurance, product support and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Product Design, Cognitive Psychology, Sociology or related field.
* A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant design and research experience.
* Experience with Adobe Photoshop is required. Experience with Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign and GoLive a plus.
* A background with desktop application design, e-commerce design and creative professional users is a plus.
This position will be filled at the User Interface Designer or Senior User Interface Designer level depending on qualifications and experience.
