The Corporate and Global Admin group within Apple IS&T is seeking a User Experience expert who will be responsible for developing standards and guidelines for application development teams so that applications provide the best possible user experience.

The candidate we seek must be self-motivated, able to demonstrate an ability to work in a team-oriented environment, and possess excellent technical and communication skills.

Key responsibilities include:

• Define user experience (aka human intefrace) standards and guidelines for applications
• Provide example applications that illustrate these standards and guidelines.
• Consult with development teams duirng design phases and provide guidance on how to make the application user experience the best it can be.

Required Skills:

• Must have at least 5 years hands on experience designing application user interfaces
• Ability to write technical specifications and communicate technical ideas
• Ability to support multiple projects at the same time
• Must be able to brainstorm and communicate technology ideas and issues with peers and IT management.
• Must be able to work independently.


• Five years of human interface design experience for commercial quality applications
• Undergraduate and/or masters degree.
• Significant work experience designing interfaces for native and Web applications.
• Experience with Cocoa and HTML a plus
