Position: Content Producer / Speech Application Developer
Location: Los Altos (applicants in other areas will also be considered for
this position)
TuVox is a rapidly growing, leading-edge developer of speech self service technology for call centers.
We're looking for an experienced Speech Application Content Producer to design and develop voice response systems based on TuVox software products.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and tune speech applications using state of the art speech application development tools.
• Design and author voice dialogues to automate and simplify complex
customer interactions.
• Use TuVox Producer, our speech application development system, to
develop, test, document, and maintain speech applications.
• Communicate schedule and status with Project manager and other team
members.
• Apply industry best practices to speech application development,
voice user interface design and coding standards.
Education & Experience:
• B.A. / B.S. in a technical or business field, or equivalent work
experience.
• Must possess excellent written/spoken language skills and be able
to write clear, concise and easy-to-understand documentation.
• Ability to quickly understand how a variety of technologies work
and are used.
• Extensive experience with software product documentation and
training material development.
• Ability to manage schedules resources, etc. to deliver a quality
experience on time.
• Self-learning. Need to be able to work independently with the
software to understand, validate and explain product functions.
• Strong Microsoft Office experience. XML and/or VXML experience a
plus.
• Understand how to take text and web materials and convert those
into usable voice dialogues.
• Demonstrated focus on and commitment to continual process
improvement.
Helpful Additional Skills & Applicable Experience:
• Strong user-interface skills.
• Previous experience in "writing for auditory perception" (i.e.,
speech recognition dialog design, IVR prompt design, audio learning
design, or broadcast journalism).
• Linguistics and/or Human Factors background/experience a plus.
• Instructional Design background.
• Technical Writing background.
• Speech Dialogue Production background.
