Human Factors Analysts
Confidential Incident Reporting & Analysis System
(CIRAS)
1 Year Fixed Term Contract
Warrington

As within the UK civil aviation industry, a Confidential Incident Reporting and Analysis System (CIRAS) is now operating in the railway industry. The system is solely designed for the capture of safety information that may otherwise not come to light via normal safety reporting channels. CIRAS is an independent system operated on behalf of the Railway Group.

Post holders should possess professional qualifications in either ergonomics or applied psychology and ideally will have at least 2 years’ relevant work experience. Successful candidates will possess excellent interviewing and report writing skills, have experience of both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, and be able to communicate confidently at all levels of management. Work experience in the rail or other safety critical industry would be particularly useful, as would familiarity with safety management systems. A full driving license and availability for UK wide travel is required.

In return, CIRAS offers an enjoyable, dedicated, close-knit team environment, a highly competitive salary, together with a range of company benefits and relocation assistance where appropriate. We are committed to the continual personal development of our staff.
If you would like to play a major role in the identification and assessment of human factors issues related to rail safety, then write with CV, outlining experience, relevant skills and details, to: Eleanor Courtney, CIRAS Freepost or call Eleanor on 07714 155367 for more details.
