This creative and detail-oriented individual will design and consult on innovative user interfaces for web interactive applications, specialized for logical, analytic problem solvers that can synthesize many forms of research into informational, navigational and industrial level web service designs. This person will also be responsible for creating and developing all graphical components for the UI.
You will be working with teams (marketing, and system engineering) to understand the usability needs, from customer/end-user perspective, then translate graphic requests into final artwork and develop creative solutions for meeting these needs. This position will lead usability efforts for various MeetExpo products, as part of the execution team.
Responsibilities:
Generate creative designs, mock-ups and prototypes for web-based applications user interface features
Create graphical artwork in both Illustrator and Photoshop, serving as the creative lead
Applying user interface design skills and principles to assist web application design and feature implementation
Interacting with engineers to create and complete a release-quality web graphics
Working with customers to analyze /collect feedback and implement change requests
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of user interface design, have experience working through the entire product life cycle, and be familiar with user-centered design methods such as field studies, heuristic evaluations, and usability studies. Additionally, the candidate must be proficient in creating/designing all graphical elements for a multimedia/interactive portal. The candidate will also have experience working in a dynamic web application environment, be task oriented, and demonstrate effective communication and documentation skills.
Experience/skills:
3-5 years experience in application or web application design a must,
BS/BA in Design, Human-Computer Interaction or other related experience,
Mastery of web and design applications including; Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, HTML
Experience with Macromedia Flash, FileMaker and Product Localization a plus.
