Telephone User Interface Designer

Verizon Labs in Waltham MA expects to add one or more user interface professionals to our 23-person team. These contract positions (6 month to 1
year) are full-time and on-site. Candidates interested in part-time may be considered. We are looking for individuals who will complement our current range of skills, experience and job responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
+ Up-front customer needs assessment
+ Work closely with product management and marketing to determine
+ customer
requirements
+ Design Telephone User Interface (TUI) flows and prompts Prototype TUIs
+ and test with users Work closely with developers to implement designs
+ Support field trials
To be considered, candidates MUST have:
+ Experience designing prompts and call flows for IVR/automated
+ telephone
systems
+ Experience with speech recognition issues and technology.
Candidates with the following experience will be of particular interest:
+ Visio, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint
+ Prototyping tools
+ Voice laboratory equipment and software (e.g., HTML, VoiceXML,
+ Javascript) Experimental design and data analysis
