I am looking for a User Interface Designer for an excellent company with wonderful benefits. It is a full time position based in San Antonio, Tx.
Person should have atleast 3-4 yrs experience with user interfaces and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Individual should be very clear in thoughts and very creative in approach. Individual does not have to be very technical but should be able to gather data from the users to design a clear, nice interface without cluttering and making modifications to the existing one.Fat client or internal facing application experience is a definate plus. working environment, benefits, care for employees, IT divison are one of the best in the world. This position will be part of a team responsible for improving the quality of an internally developed Mutual Fund Customer Service application.
Specific assignments may include large projects as well as small enhancements, as prioritized by business needs. Development takes place in a highly collaborative environment that places high value on effective communication skills as this position works closely with the business as well as with IT. Responsibilities will include designing and architecting user interfaces for internally developed applications as well as implementing and maintaining user interface standards and templates.
Additionally, the position will provide systems analysis skills at the early stages of projects. The position will also be key in prototype development and system demonstrations to the business.
A minimum of Four years experience in designing user interfaces in an application development area is required. We are looking for an experienced person who has long term planning and vision skills as well as creativity.
This individual should also possess strong writing and analytical skills, as well as strong verbal communication skills. Experience using HTML and graphic design tools like Adobe Acrobat, and Photoshop is required.
Experience in designing fat client and thin client, (using Internet and browser technologies), user interfaces is highly desired. Previous use of an OO development methodology, including OO modeling tools, is also highly desired. Knowledge of WindowBuilder Pro, SQL, Visual Basic, and .NET, is helpful. A college degree in a related field and general knowledge of the securities/mutual fund industry is preferred.
