Usability Lab Manager, Sprint

SPRINT USABILITY LAB MANAGER

The Group
* We call ourselves "Product Design and Usability."
* We work at the Sprint World Headquarters just outside of Kansas City in the suburban setting of Overland Park, Kansas.
* We are a small and diverse team of 12 people-designers and researchers who affect the way over 19 million people communicate every day.

The Work
* We impact the total user experience for Sprint's products and services. In most cases, we create it.
* From ideation to production, we participate in all stages of product development for voice, data, web, print, software, and hardware.
* We conduct research up front and along the way to guide, challenge, and verify our decisions.

The Position
* Execute user-centered research in support of product development initiatives for both consumer and business related products.
* Test product designs against design criteria and identify points of departure.
* Conduct and oversee usability tests, qualitative interviews, and behavioral observations.
* Conduct and oversee qualitative and quantitative data analyses.
* Create and deliver research reports and scorecards.
* Manage the Sprint Usability lab - schedule, intern training, etc.
* Supervise and coach lab interns.

The Fit
We seek people who...
* Enjoy using analytic skills to find multiple solutions to a problem.
* Have experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses.
* Will contribute to a team effort.
* At a minimum have a Master's degree in a behavioral science or human factors, and four years of experience conducting usability research.
* Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
