Time Inc. Interactive, an online division of Time Warner has an immediate opening for a freelance user interface designer with at least 3-4 years of experience in designing online consumer product interfaces. The ideal candidate is a creative, organized problem solver who possesses strong logic and analytical skills. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing existing product interfaces and making intelligent and consistent recommendations ensuring an intuitive user experience. This person will coordinate with the UI Art Director in the execution of flowcharts and schematic drawings to illustrate the structure and functionality of complex applications and web site interface designs. He or she will work closely with visual designers, content developers, technical teams, and clients to create and document all aspects of business requirements and information architecture. He or she should be proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Visio, and Excel and have working knowledge of HTML, Flash, After Effects, Word, and Project.
