Expero Inc. (www.experoinc.com) is seeking a User Interface Developer specializing in building the front end of software applications and websites.
This position entails working closely with user interface designers, usability specialists and customers to craft the user experience of a software product or website. Position could lead to extended contract or full-time employment developing the initial release of the product.
The right individual will have worked as part of a development team that has shipped software product(s).
An ideal candidate is an experienced programmer with demonstrated proficiency with Visual Studio or C++ and Web technologies such as ASP, JSP, Javascript, HTML, DHTML, and XML. They will have worked on web-based applications as well as traditional client-server applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with user interface designers and
usability experts to develop the front end of software products, websites and prototypes.
Employ an iterative approach to user interface
development.
Participate in the account development process
including generating project proposals, bids and cost estimates.
Participate as a leader and contributor with a
multi-disciplinary team that includes Development, Product Management, Design, Usability, Quality Assurance, Training and Documentation.
Participate in user testing during various phases of
the development process to evaluate and iterate on user interface.
Work closely with designers and usability experts to
ensure that user interface designs are implemented as intended.
Drive decisions with clients and internally
regarding the implementation of applications and websites.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience implementing the
front end of commercial software products and websites
Strong knowledge of the software development process
and experience working with user interface designers and usability experts
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such
as PhotoShop, Illustrator or Flash and UML a plus
Experience with Web technologies such as HTML,
JavaScript, and CSS
Excellent communication skills, particularly the
ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
