HCI Research Scientist
We are currently seeking a scientist to conduct research in human-system interaction and intelligent user interfaces for complex systems. Work environment is a small privately owned research and development company engaged in a variety of U.S. government sponsored research. Responsibilities will include:
Leading cutting edge research in human-system interaction Concept development and customer interaction Interactivity, task, user, and usability analysis UI design and evaluation Documentation, reporting, and proposal writing Usability testing and data analysis
Required background:
U.S. Citizenship
Ph.D. in human-computer interaction or related field
Required skills:
Strong background in HCI analysis and research methods Strong communication skills Must be a team player Must be able to multi-task Must have some programming experience
Desired skills:
Project management
Cognitive modeling
Background in intelligent user interfaces Background in psychology Background in supervisory control and human-automation interaction
