IA Contractor, NYC

We are a custom software development and system integration consulting firm looking for an IA to design and facilitate implementations of our in-house content management system within a large pharmaceutical company.
We have a small but growing IA group. Demand for IA has grown and we are looking to higher an IA as a contractor with potential to be come a full time employee.
You will work as part of a small project team designing departmental intranet sites, working within tight timelines, using creative approaches to gathering user input, working with clients, developers and graphic designers to ensure effective
implementation of the sites.
At least three years of IA experience required.
Applicants must have and be able to demonstrate experience in the Following:
Usability methods
- Contextual User Interviews
- Scenario/Persona Development
- Iterative Prototyping
- User Testing
Client communication
- Meeting with stakeholders
- Constructing effective arguments for usability methods, results and design decisions
- Preventing breakdowns in communication
- Clearly managing client expectations
Content Management System Implementations
- Content inventory
- Taxonomy development
- Template based design
Additional Skills
- Internally and Externally promoting IA and usability
- Understanding the importance of aligning business, technology and user needs.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus but not required.
