Information Architect

Caliber Associates, Inc. is a dynamic, employee-owned consulting firm specializing in the social and behavioral sciences. We are growing and seek an Information Architect.

The Information Architect (IA) is responsible for the design of innovative, usable Web solutions for Caliber clients. The IA will work with the client to assess needs and priorities and work with technical teams to create sites that communicate effectively with the intended audience. The IA will perform needs analyses and requirements gathering to develop audience profiles, user scenarios, storyboards, sitemaps, wireframes and navigational prototypes and will plan and facilitate usability tests, surveys and focus groups, as needed.

Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, Information Science, Business or Instructional System Design with 5-7 years web site design experience required, experience with Federal Government web site design and section 508 preferred. The successful applicant will have hands-on knowledge of usability issues, requirements gathering, use case documentation, web development processes, unified development methodologies, content management systems and possess the ability to organize large bodies of information into a logical presentation layer. The applicant should have strong skills with HTML prototyping tools/editors, Adobe products and MS Visio. In addition, excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work on multiple projects essential.
