Usability Engineer Trainee, XRT Enterprise User Experience, Paris – La Défense, France.
We are looking for a talented Usability Engineer Trainee with demonstrated ability to gather user feedback at all stages of the development lifecycle for our world-class enterprise Web-based applications.
User experience (UE) professionals at XRT are empowered and appreciated! We are responsible for the design and evaluation of XRT's Business products. You could become part of our experienced multidisciplinary UE team, working with development, support, documentation, sales, marketing and strategy to create user-centered Web-based business applications that are a pleasure to use.
Responsibilities:
Work with product development and others in the User Experience team to develop plans for gathering user feedback.
Conduct usability tests, heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs and other types of user research. Analyze and synthesize information and communicate the analysis and synthesized information back to product teams. Provide concrete, actionable recommendations that teams can use to fix problems found.
Work with a multidisciplinary team including developers, graphic designers, interaction designers, documentation and others to create products that are easy to use, efficient and meet the needs of users.
Skills and Qualifications
Familiarity with current usability research, theories and methodologies, especially with regards to web development. Thorough understanding of User-Centered Design practices and principles. Skilled in designing reliable and repeatable experiments.
Knowledge in the usability engineering of enterprise business applications preferred (financials, enterprise services automation, human resources management, supply chain management, and/or customer relations management).
Willingness to learn new technologies. Experience with Web technology such as XML, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
