Information Architect
We currently have an open, full-time position for an experienced information architect.
Job Summary — Responsible for analyzing complex information projects, interviewing users and stakeholders, developing and conducting usability tests, capturing and documenting user and stakeholder requirements, writing functional specifications, writing information architecture reports, developing appropriate visualizations of information such as wireframes, diagrams, and prototypes in conjunction with design staff, creating project plans, schedules and budgets, writing proposals for prospective projects. Communicates with senior leaders and customers regarding status of specific projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities — In-depth knowledge of and experience with information architecture and business analysis methodology. Superior skills in summarizing research results and communicating and presenting information to clients and associates. Ability to analyze Internet projects and visualize solutions. Experience writing information architecture reports and related deliverables, and working with designers, sitebuilders, producers, and software developers. Demonstrated ability to think creatively and to generate innovative ideas. Ability to prioritize complex tasks, and works well under pressure. Must be self-starter who can work well as part of a close-knit team.
Education and Experience — Bachelor's degree in psychology, writing, communications, human computer interaction, computer science or related field or equivalent experience. Four years experience as business analyst, or information architect. Experience working with online publications and/or business development background desirable.
