Job Responsibilities

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is looking for a talented, IS professional to work as an Information Systems Analyst with the CIS Team.
At the direction of the Manager, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with all departments, and assume responsibility for participating in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Information Systems as it pertains to appropriate practice. Will work closely with existing CIS team to mentor, and increase their skills in the areas of project management, analysis and design, and specifications and help to establish standard methodologies in these skill areas.
*This is a term limited position for 6-24 months.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Required: Bachelors degree or the equivalent, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Prior experience in the analysis and design of software applications. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Must be self-directed, flexible, and have excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.

Desired: Experience in clinical healthcare in a major medical center setting. For example: informatics, nursing, laboratory, medical records, allied health or other licensure/certifications depending upon team responsibilities.

The following descriptions are potentially for three different positions; however, it is feasible that one high-level candidate may be able to meet the need for more than one of these categories.

Project Lead
* Project management track record on complex projects with multiple stakeholders
* Strong writing skills and communication skills
* Ability to see big picture/scope, and able to abstract
* Ability to direct the work of others
* Manage interdependencies between resources
* Juggle multiple issues, priorities, dependencies
* Tenacious about details
* Motivated to exceed expectations
* Ability to manage the work & resources to meet project deadlines and milestones
* Makes regular status reporting to various levels of stakeholders, and formal presentations to upper level management
* Professional in all aspects

Functional Designer
* Strong user orientation
* Familiar with user-centered design principles
* Ability to think abstractly
* Experience with detailed workflow analysis and redesign
* Can deal well with metaphors
* Some familiarity with various database design
* Familiarity with user feasibility testing
* Excellent written skills, proven experience with writing detailed specifications
* Familiar with Information Architecture principles
* Works closely with the Project Lead, and in-house team designers
* Proven track record of design of professional software products
* Collaborates with and coordinates work of other team members doing design
* Delegates as necessary

Interaction Designer (UI)
* Familiar with user-centered design principles
* Familiarity with user feasibility testing
* Excellent written skills, proven experience with writing detailed
specifications
* Familiar with Information Architecture principles
* Works closely with the Project Lead, and in-house team designers
* Proven track record of design of professional software products
* Experience designing workflow, and interactive screen design
* Experience creating visual prototyping
* Works closely and collaboratively with developers and front end designers
* Works with Functional Designer in setting UI standards
