Senior Usability Engineer, PERSHING LLC, Jersey City, NJ Candidates for this position should have extensive experience in implementing User-Centered Design techniques and in translating end-user and business requirements into successful software product concepts and designs. The position is an excellent opportunity to implement usability methods and practices in the development of web, windows, and wireless software applications for the financial services industry.
Responsibilities
· Conduct end-user analysis studies
· Translate business and end-user requirements into high-level product
design concepts (including information architecture concepts)
· Develop low fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes
· Work with development groups and business units during the software
product life-cycle to ensure the usability of applications
· Perform heuristic evaluations of user interfaces
· Plan and conduct usability testing studies
· Participate in the development of usability and design standards
· Mentor junior employees in usability methods and techniques
Qualifications
· Seven (7) years or more of related experience
· A minimum of a Master's degree in Human Factors, Industrial
Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, Behavioral Science or a related field
· Ability to prototype using tools such us DreamWeaver, Visual Basic
and Photoshop
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
· Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast pace environment
· Experience in the financial services industry a definite plus.
