Catapult Thinking is a design innovation group that develops brand strategies, expresses brand attributes and guides user experiences through printed and interactive communications, across environments and via product and service design.

We develop compelling product stories for forward-thinking consumer and business-to-business brands. By unifying customer journeys through informed design we help companies create more effective and memorable brand experiences.

Position

Catapult Thinking is seeking to add one full-time design researcher to our research team.

Role

We are looking for a smart, energetic individual to help us understand the unique business objectives, market climate, retail experiences and user characteristics of our clients’ diverse marketplaces. Candidates must be open to the challenging, yet highly rewarding nature of our studio environment. The ability to manage projects and own tasks should be balanced with an appreciation for teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate and audit markets, business channels and customer trends in support of research program development and planning.

Assist in all aspects of design research fieldwork, including participant recruitment, protocol development and data collection.

Work with design and research teams to build models and frameworks that describe customer experiences, opportunity areas and ideal design solutions.

Collaborate with design teams to ensure the successful transfer of design research findings in support of product, service and brand experience design programs.
