Starwood Hotels and Resorts is looking for two Information Architects to join the creative team! The position is for a 3 month contract (with strong possibility to renew), working on site at the corporate offices in White Plains, New York. White Plains is 45 minutes north of New York City and easily accessible by public transportation.
As an information architect at Starwood you will have the opportunity to work with the strategy, creative and technology teams to improve the user experience for all of Starwood's websites (Westin, Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton, W Hotels, Luxury Collection, St. Regis and more!)
Responsibilities include:
.. Defining and documenting site navigation, process flows, page level interaction and functionality.
.. Employing user-centered design processes to ensure that Starwood websites are useful and usable.
.. Working with the strategy team to conduct user research and analyze site metrics.
.. Helping define and document functional requirements.
Requirements:
.. A degree in a related field, such as psychology, human-computer interaction or library science.
.. Experience conducting/observing user research and translating user research into design decisions.
.. 2-3 years experience developing digital products.
.. Able to effectively communicate and support ideas.
.. Experience in the travel industry, e-commerce, insurance, financial services or pharmaceuticals/sciences a plus.
