Senior User Interface Designer (Adobe Common UI Team)

Responsibilities:
Adobe's Common UI Team is seeking a dynamic leader in interaction design who has a passion for getting the details right. The role of the Common UI Team is to identify design elements across Adobe's product segments (Creative Pro, Digital Video, Consumer and Enterprise) and to then create compelling solutions that improve usability and enhance our brand. The Senior Designer will develop and implement a strategy that will redefine and improve the shared design elements of our products as well as the Common UI guidelines. The Senior Designer will work closely with their fellow designers and product teams to incorporate these shared solutions. The Senior Designer will be seen by their colleagues as a key resource for interaction design principles and cross-platform design issues. Qualifications: This is a Senior Lead position that has high visibility across the entire company. Such a position requires someone with excellent communication skills, including public speaking. This person must have past experience leading people to do great things in spite of established processes. Must be comfortable leading and initiating change. Must have demonstrated the initiative, creativity, determination, and follow-through necessary to fashion and drive designs across multiple products.
Requires a Masters degree in Human Computer Interaction, Product Design, Graphic Design or work equivalent experience, and a minimum of 7 years designing software interfaces. Should have in-depth knowledge using many of Adobe's products. The designer must have experience creating mockups, storyboards, UI specifications, flowcharts, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Thorough knowledge of both the Macintosh and Windows operating systems is required. Must have strong coordination and scheduling skills and be willing to prove themselves within a company of talented individuals. Must have a natural interest in technology with the ability to grasp and distill highly complex issues. Attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics are required. The ideal candidate will have previous experience developing and promoting company-wide interface guidelines.
