User interface design contract opportunity
We are looking for individuals to help us design the user experience for online, voice, desktop and mobile products and services. Ideally, we would like to establish relationships with individuals who we would call on as needed on an hourly or project basis. To find out more about our company, visit www.slicedbreaddesign.com
Responsibilities include:
- designing detailed user interfaces for a wide variety of online, voice, mobile, and desktop applications
- following a user-centered design process to quickly user test and iterate designs
- conducting user interviews to understand their needs and goals
- reviewing applications for adherence to standards and generally accepted principles of good design
- conducting user requirements and workflow analysis
- creating HTML prototypes using Dreamweaver
- creating screen designs using Fireworks or Photoshop
- creating flow diagrams and site maps
- understanding complex business scenarios and functionality requirements for enterprise software products
- writing design specifications
This positions requires:
- 2-5 years experience
- ability to work from home, but occasionally come in to our offices in San Jose and Mountain View
- flexible schedule
- proficiency with Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, and Illustrator
- basic understanding of technologies that influence UI design including JSP, ASP, XML, and Java
- experience with complex web-based applications and/or voice interfaces a plus
- excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
- reliability
