Interaction Designer Position
Waterford Institute, an educational software company in Sandy, UT, is looking for a motivated, creative individual interested in becoming part of an exciting team developing innovative learning programs for young children.
This unique full-time position requires a strong understanding of designing user interfaces, intuitive navigation schemes, lesson activities, games, and stories for children. The Interaction Designer will work closely with the creative director, educational content designers, graphic artists, sound designers, programmers, the evaluation/usability team, and children to work out global design and usability issues to create design concepts for all interactive components.
This position requires:
2+ years experience developing interactive products (with emphasis on user-centered design principles for children)
A degree in interaction design, education, or technology-related field
Advanced familiarity with a variety of the field’s (HCI & multimedia) concepts, practices, and procedures
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proven experience in leading and being a part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of graphics software and tools
