Our client is a leading developer of interface solutions for mobile computing, communications and entertainment devices. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer embedded C++ software development experience, specifically working with Symbian OS and preferably also Nokia Series 60 UI. Our client is a leading developer of interface solutions for mobile computing, communications and entertainment devices. It is working with next generation mobile phone OEMs to develop touchpad and other interface devices.
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with 3-5 years of small footprint embedded C++ software development experience, of which at least 3 years should have been gained within a mobile phone development environment specifically working with Symbian OS and preferably also Nokia Series 60 UI. You will work predominantly on bringing novel human interfaces based on our client's core sensing technologies to the mobile phone market.
Key skills and experience:-
· A solid track record in C++ software development for small footprint embedded devices.
· Specific experience of at least 3 years working with Symbian OS and preferably Nokia Series 60 UI in a mobile phone development environment.
· Specific experience of some or all of the following: hardware driver development, FEP architecture and development, window servers, Series 60 user interface development, application development.
· An appreciation of user interface and usability aspects of mobile phone software design.
· Experience of Java, BREW and MS Smartphone development in a mobile phone environment would be an asset.
· Qualified to degree level in computer science or software engineering.
