Overview:


Training Analyst

Must have an Ergonomics, Systems Engineering or Psychology degree, or a Masters Degree in Ergonomics with approximately 5 years relevant work experience in a training or human factors role. Training Analyst Technical Competencies must include Training Needs Analysis, Behavioural Task Analysis, Cognitive Task Analysis, Training design, User requirements capture, Problem solving


Client

A training consultancy with offices in Yeovil, Somerset and Emsworth, Hampshire working on civilian nuclear, rail and general military training related projects.


Role

The Training Analyst will be involved in projects which run for approximately 3 ¡V12 months and include identification of user performance requirements, detailed task analysis, assessment of appropriate training media solutions, and preparation of lifecycle training cost estimates. The company does not develop or deliver training but does on occasion manage the development of training materials for clients.
The candidate will be working on his or her own initiative or as part of a small team.
Significant UK travel may be required, often involving overnight absence from home, particularly during the initial data gathering phase of projects.


Requirements

The ideal candidate for the Training Analyst role will have an Ergonomics, Systems Engineering or Psychology degree, and/or a Masters Degree in Ergonomics with approximately 5 years relevant work experience in a training or human factors role.


You should be able to demonstrate an ability or interest in:-
„« interviewing clients to extract information
„« structuring information in a consistent and systematic fashion
„« using task analysis, functional analysis or other methods to break down complex tasks and
„« generate objective detailed reports and recommendations


Training Analyst candidates will be assessed in the following areas:
1. Self Management Competencies

iii. Influence and interpersonal effectiveness
iv. Initiative and innovation
v. Judgement and decision making
vi. Adaptability and flexibility
2. Technical Competencies
i. Training Needs Analysis
ii. Behavioural Task Analysis
iii. Cognitive Task Analysis
iv. Training design
v. User requirements capture
vi. Problem solving
vii. Microsoft Word, Excel and Access


Additional, relevant competencies will be welcome e.g. Quality Assurance, IT/Networking, Marketing/Business Development
