TEKsystems is hiring a Usbility Analyst in Harrisburg, PA. The position is a six month plus contract with customer converrsion offered after the initial period. The customer is located in downtown Harrisbug and performs financial services for its client base.
Responsibilities:
„« Plan, design and execute iterative user research and analysis projects including but not limited to usability testing, heuristic evaluations, tasks analysis, contextual inquires, development of personas and scenarios, and identification of user behavioral patterns.
„« Deliver research results and analysis to appropriate stakeholders.
„« Apply user research and usability principles to define effective design recommendations that address observed usability problems.
„« Serve as an expert consultant by providing design advice and guidance throughout the product lifecycle, and mentoring on usability best practices.
„« Maintain awareness of current human-computer interaction and usability research, theories and methodologies.
„« Maintain advanced knowledge of effective web design principles.
„« Work with development teams to produce low, medium and high fidelity prototypes.
„« Ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
„« College or university degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Cognitive Science or related field strongly preferred.
„« 2+ years in planning and executing usability research activities, including usability testing and evaluations. At least one year applying these skills to web-based design and development.
„« Familiarity with current human-computer interaction and usability research, theories, best practices and methodologies.
„« Advanced knowledge of and experience in interaction design and information architecture.
„« Knowledge of web prototyping tools including Visio, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and PhotoShop.
„« Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
„« Familiarity with the principles of user-centered design.
