Human Factors Engineer -DV17
The Human Factors Engineer will apply HF across the different facets of
the AGI suite of software products, evangelizing and enforcing ease of use
and consistency of AGI products.
Role/Responsibilities
The HFE will evaluate systems design from the HF perspective, applying
industry standards where applicable and make appropriate recommendations
to the architects/project leads/Management.
The HFE will prototype/implement recommended user interfaces and/or
possibly direct one or more user interface programmers in the
implementation of these recommendations.
The HFE will also interact with Product Managers, to enforce consistency
and ease of use of all AGI products in general.
Will be responsible for the general look and feel of all the AGI products
in terms of the graphical user interface (GUI), technical documentation
and installation.
Qualifications
5+ years experience in HFE.
Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate with people from
different backgrounds; programmers, technical writers, architects and
install.
Experience in designing and implementing user interfaces (MFC, Motif,
HTML/Scripting, etc).
Ability to work within the constraints of project requirements and project
schedule, at the same time, recognizing the importance of HF.
Experience in a commercial product environment is preferred.
A formal training/degree in HF is preferred.
Motivated and energetic; team player.
