Overview:


The University of Portsmouth announces that in addition to a recent Human
Factors appointment in the Department of Creative Technologies, the
Department of Psychology now has a lectureship vacancy which may be made
in the same area.


The Human Factors group is seen as a growth area within the Psychology
Department, with recent work funded by Network Rail and EPSRC. See the

Salary: £23,643 - £36,428 (From 1st August 2004)

The Department of Psychology seeks applications for a Lectureship/Senior
Lectureship. Applications are invited from candidates with a strong
research record in any area of psychology. The Department encourages and
fosters interdisciplinary work and cross-fertilization between different
areas of psychology.


Having recently made new appointments in forensic psychology, the
Department particularly encourages applications from candidates who can
strengthen and complement our research in one or (preferably) more of the
following areas: ecological psychology, emotions, human factors, language,
psychophysiology.


Additionally to our existing laboratory facilities, new laboratory space
is
currently under construction that adds to our psychophysiological research
capacity, and also includes adult and child interviewing and observation
spaces. Start up research funding will be available for the successful
candidate.
