IA/UX Designer, NY

Description:

Professional services firm is looking for a Mid-level IA/UX Designer to work with a multi-million dollar automotive client in its New York office. This is an incredible opportunity to work with a top brand on a number of key initiatives!! As a member of the User Experience community, you would work with strategy, creative, and technology teams to:

-Research and prioritize user requirements and functional requirements.
-Develop information architectures and taxonomies for web based applications.
-Prototype navigation models and interaction designs for demonstration to clients.
-Document functional specifications.
-Perform usability testing of proposed designs.
-Work with clients, teams and client's vendors.

Responsibilities include:

-Redesign multi-brand vehicle locator interface.
-Redesign homepage and top two levels of client site
-Address specific client requests
-Address site changes (new CMS implementation)

Qualifications (Must Have):

-Solid IA skills specifically in developing heavy content / transactional websites.
-High quality sample deliverables/portfolio including wireframes, sitemaps, usability evaluations, and specifications.
-Strong presentation and negotiation skills. (Must be confident and competent in presenting work to clients and justifying rationale for design decisions).
-Ability to work on multiple projects and multitask.
-Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and be effective on a team of experienced consultants.
