Principal Designer

Responsibilities:
Adobe is seeking a Principal Designer to join our User Interface Team in our San Jose, CA headquarters. This person will focus on forward-looking and innovative user experience concepts as well as entirely new product ideas. The designer will contribute to long-term product strategies and the creation of new design methods. Responsibilities will include keeping abreast of trends and innovation in design, and sharing that information within Adobe through presentations and written reports. The designer will need to positively represent Adobe in the external design community through speaking at conferences, publishing, networking with peers, etc. The designer will be expected to mentor, engage, inspire, and collaborate with our global team of designers. This person will also collaborate with other disciplines such as user research and visual design, as well as product teams, and executives. This person will tackle a diversity of cross-functional projects and establish their own objectives without supervision.
Qualifications:
The designer must have demonstrated excellence in the field of user experience design for 10 years or more. Requires a Masters degree or equivalent experience in Human Computer Interaction, Product Design, Graphic Design or related field.
