Overview:
PDD Group Ltd is looking to recruit a senior behavioural researcher to
join its design innovation team. PDD is the UK's leading product
innovation partner with a unique combination of consumer research,
ideation, design and engineering capabilities. Established 25 years ago,
PDD's tight-knit community draws on the skill and experience of its 80
staff to manage product and service innovation for its clients.
PDD is looking for someone with the following qualities:
* Background in social sciences (psychology, ergonomics, human factors,
sociology, ethnography)
* 5+ years commercial experience working in new product design for one
or more of the following markets: medical, consumer, telecommunications
and industrial.
* Application of innovative qualitative techniques throughout
the NPD process
* Knowledge of future social/market trends
* Enthusiasm for design
* Confident communicator
* Creative thinker
* Fluent in 2+ languages would be an advantage
The role
* To lead behavioural research projects throughout the innovation
process for international clients
* To design, conduct and report research findings
* To work closely with product, interaction and design engineers
* To generate new research tools and techniques
