Overview:
Telephone User Interface Designer
Verizon Labs in Waltham MA expects to add one user interface professional
to our 23-person team. This contract position (6 month to 1 year) is
full-time and on-site in Waltham, Massachusetts. There are no relocation benefits associated with this position. We are looking for an individual who will
complement our current range of skills, experience and job
responsibilities.
A bachelor’s degree in psychology, product design, interaction design,
information design or a related human-computer interaction subject is
required.
Responsibilities:
o Customer needs assessment
o Work closely with product management and marketing to determine
customer requirements
o Design Telephone User Interface (TUI) flows and prompts
o Prototype TUIs and test with users
o Work closely with developers to implement designs
o Support field trials.
Candidates should:
o Have experience designing prompts and call flows for IVR/automated
telephone systems
o Be familiar with speech recognition issues and technology.
o Be familiar with User Centered Design process
o Be a team player with an ability to work with cross-functional
teams
o Possess excellent communication skills
o Exhibit the ability to take initiatives
Note: This is a position in a User Centered Design organization.
Programming skills are NOT required.
