UI Design Mgr
PayPal, an eBay company located in San Jose, CA is looking for a Design Manager who will be responsible for managing a team of designers for PayPal's large scale web-based application. The ideal candidate is a visionary who will proactively champion design to other groups within the company, understands design's role within the business, and can achieve the business goals while creating a world class design and user experience. Must have previous experience leading a team of designers.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of interface design experience, with an additional 2+ years of design team management.
Preferred educational background should include a BA/BS or MA/MS in Human Computer Interaction or an MFA in Design. Familiarity with the following technologies required: HTML, CSS, XML, CGI, ASP, JSP (or other similar scripting languages). Knowledge of following tools required: Photoshop, Illustrator, Homesite, CVS. Managing design teams that have worked on large scale localization projects is strongly preferred.
