DIRECTOR, WEB EXPERIENCE

The Director, Web Experience leads a team of information architects, usability specialists, web editors and designers to create an online experience that results in successful use of available features/functions thereby ensuring return visits. We'll rely on you to increase data driven decision-making relative to web experience by ensuring web experience analysis is explicitly communicated throughout phases and at major decision points; provide strategic vision and leadership for the ongoing evolution of our web properties; provide direction to the design team and business teams; and prioritize and allocate department resources and get funding for key initiatives. You will also be expected to generate and develop ideas for improving key aspects for all portals; communicate regularly with BSC staff to ensure site design is consistent with corporate medical policy, regulatory constraints and consumer/market requirements; act as brand steward; facilitate company content management strategy and direction; and develop/maintain content and visual design style guidelines for all external websites. Requirements include:

* Bachelor's degree
* 10 years experience managing large design teams in product design, interaction design, human factors or related area
* 5+ years working with web technology and web usability
* Management experience including executive-level communication, vendor assessment and negotiation
* Demonstrated knowledge of user-centered design methods and practices
* Experience leading a large design effort and in developing and executing web-based electronic strategies
* Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing programs/initiatives that support and drive business strategy

* Strong leadership, strategic and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with all levels in the organization
* Knowledge of the health care environment
