AGENCY.COM, an interactive marketing and technology company is seeking an Information Architect for our Dallas office. As part of our information architecture team, the primary role for this position would be to lead all user analysis activities, work with the client and a project team to create an effective online business solution and user experience.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead the project team in user-centered design activities
* Conduct user needs assessment and task analysis using appropriate techniques
* Collaborate as an integral member of the design and development teams
* Perform heuristic site evaluations of client or potential client sites
* Design information structure and navigation flows for Internet, extranet, and intranet sites as well as other online applications
* Create and revise information architecture documents including but not limited to; site maps, concept diagrams, user personas or profiles, user scenarios, schematics or wireframes, content matrices, flow diagrams, and functional requirements
* Conduct usability testing and other user validation exercises
* Perform competitive site analysis
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
* Undergraduate degree (degree or coursework in the following is a plus:
human-computer interaction, psychology, anthropology, architecture, instructional design, library or information science)
* 5+ years experience working in an internet consulting environment or in the e-business or Web communications area of a large corporation
* Strong communication (verbal and written) skills and organization skills
* Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles, and user analysis techniques
* Work well in a multi-disciplined team environment providing leadership in areas of expertise
* Strong research and analytical skills
* Familiarity with Web site tracking and other analytics tools
* Strong client interaction skills
* Proficiency in MS WORD and Excel
* Familiarity with Visio
