We have an immediate need for an IA to work on browser-based interfaces.
This is a short-term contract position (3-4 weeks) with the possibility to convert to long-term (~6 months).
The scope of the work will comprise creating process flows based on understanding gleaned from existing systems, prototypes, requirement sessions and ongoing ethnographic user research. Other assets like low-fidelity wireframes and content maps will also be created in accordance with in-house standards.
At Staples these IA deliverables are widely used by the business and IS departments as means of communication and form a part of our development methodology.

Usability and Information Architecture at Staples The Usability Group at Staples supports our Retail Stores, Catalogs and Web Sites. We are responsible for research and functional design of both employee and customer interfaces. We tackle a wide variety of artifacts including web interfaces, packing slips, store signage, green screens and marketing materials.
We are located about 30 minutes west of Boston in Framingham, MA.
Depending on the nature of the work we may require consultants to be on site for weeks or months at a time. However, from time to time there are opportunities to work remotely.
