Senior Interface Designer, Insight Product Development - Chicago
Insight is currently seeking a senior interface designer to join our team in making complex consumer, medical, and industrial products straightforward and delightful to use. The designer we seek is passionate about design and usability, wildly creative, extremely articulate, and meticulous beyond belief.
Responsibilities
Contribute to all aspects of interface development including user research, task analysis, information architecture, interaction design, visual interface and information design, prototyping, usability testing, and design documentation.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have at least 5 years experience in interactive product design and development and possess the following characteristics:
• Exceptional visual design talents applicable to a wide range of contexts
• Superb problem solving skills and information design abilities
• Understanding of usability engineering and interface design principles
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Command of design tools including Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign, Flash, Director and HTML (Expertise in Shockwave, ActionScript is a plus)
• Strong interpersonal and client management skills
