USER INTERFACE ENGINEER
Participate Systems, the leading provider of online sales and customer support solutions, is looking for a User Interface Engineer to join our Product Development team. Our product, Participate Enterprise, enables companies to capture and reuse knowledge and expertise distributed throughout their organization and customer base. The user interface engineer helps design and implement the functionality, presentation, and user interface based on product requirements. Deliverables include the user interface design and implementation of the web-based software in an ongoing product life cycle.

Required Qualifications
* 4 - 8 years experience designing software applications for the
commercial marketplace
* Experience producing highly-structured jsp, HTML, JavaScript and CSS
style sheets
* Experience in design and development of complex web applications,
not just web sites
* Exceptional descriptive writing skills and document organization
* Familiarity with J2EE application servers (JBoss/Tomcat, WebLogic),
Macromedia Homesite, Adobe Framemaker, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Visio.
* Experience collaborating with product managers and software
engineers
* Experience and involvement with the complete software product life
cycle
* Conceptual grasp of enterprise applications and their integration
* A team player with strong communication skills

* Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement the product user interface deployed through a
standard web browser. This includes production of final JSP pages, ownership of product style sheets, ownership of product interface consistency.
* Work with software engineers and development manager to balance
product ideas with delivery schedules and technology limitations.
* Validate completed software against functional specifications to
ensure robustness and compliance to specification.
* Produce detailed functional specifications from product requirements
documents. These functional specifications detail the look and operation of the product functionality and serve as the basis for all downstream development activities.
Education
Bachelor's degree required. Masters degree a plus.
