Description:
My client a California insurance corporation has an immediate need for a hands-on UX manager to join its Web Experience Group in San Francisco. This is a perfect opportunity for an in-house UX professional to join a great team and be a part of building a growing group.
This position has responsibility for 1-2 direct reports, which may increase over time. Supervises work of other internal staff and vendors on a project basis. May have direct supervisory responsibilities for contractors.
Requirements:
-Experience developing of best-of-breed user experiences for the web and a strong interest in practice development.
-Leadership experience and proven team-building skills -Experience managing cross-functional teams during discovery and design phases of projects -Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to work with all levels in the organization -Strong leadership skills including strong strategic and negotiation skills; excellent meeting facilitation & small group presentation skills.
-Ability to think quickly, assimilate complex issues and ideas quickly -Strong project management skills - work plans, issues, lists, planning and prioritizing -Experience performing basic user research, usability test planning and moderation; ability to translate usability test results into design requirements or adjustments; experience collecting and applying ongoing user feedback -Experience developing new web service enhancements and/or brand and design initiatives.
-Expertise in the development of user requirements using use case methodologies.
-Experience creating sketches, flowcharts, storyboards and web-based prototypes to demonstrate and test functional designs.
-Experience developing templates, workflow, taxonomy and categorization for CMS and search engines.
-Ability to understand and interpret existing site design and style guides and create effective solutions/improvements within those guidelines.
-Working knowledge of front end technology standards, including HTML, XML, JavaScript.
-High comfort level working with remote HTML production teams.
-Working knowledge of visual design tools including Visio, Photoshop, Illustrator.
