With MetLife's vision to have over 100 million customers by the year 2010, this position is responsible for the presentation of online information and functionality to support enterprise eBusiness. The position is an information architect for web business content with a focus on the intranet along with the public site - metlife.com.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Design intuitive navigation and information design flows based to meet business and user needs
- Gather business requirements and analyze business requests to communicate appropriate messages through the intranet, metlife.com and other websites utilizing Vignette content management
- Create user scenarios and use cases
- Analyze content & recommend best approach for integration into the intranet, metlife.com, and other websites
- Assist in creation, documentation and communication of corporate user interface
- Participate in the creation of Enterprise eBusiness standards and guidelines for online presence
- Analyze website metrics for path analysis and customer experience improvements
- Facilitate the ongoing evolution of efficient business processes
- Coordinate projects with Lines of businesses,project teams and 3rd party vendors
- Organize and manage user research projects
- Assist in project planning
Required Competencies
- Experience in web content publishing and information/web design - a must
- User interface documentation and specification (schematics, wireframes, navigation systems)
- Human factors/usability planning and implementation
- Rapid experience and task modeling / prototyping
- Business process analysis
- Application and page level information design
- Project planning methodology
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience creating controlled vocabulary, taxonomy, metadata is a plus
