Position Title: Lead Prototyper
Duration: Full Time
This position will be responsible for creating high fidelity prototypes with the eBay UI Designers as well as leading other prototypers who will be doing the same. These prototypes will be used to demonstrate and test new design ideas, specifically, the interaction (UI) design of the site
- the flow, navigation, etc. This person will work closely with the Prototypers, UI Designers, Creative Designers and Usability Engineers (among others) to ensure they are building working models of the designs so the Usability Engineers can test them. In addition, the Lead UI Prototyper will be responsible for creating and maintaining a prototype server, which will provide a central location where all prototypes can be accessed.
The successful candidate must be able to:
*Rapidly, and accurately, create prototypes of UI designs, capturing the flow, navigation, and look and feel *Integrate dynamic prototypes with existing databases and code *Coach and communicate effectively with your team members, as well as with those outside of your team.
*Manage and communicate the overall prototyping roadmap and schedules *Gather prototyping requirements and coordinate with the Usability Engineers *Code HTML, JavaScript very proficiently *Lead process and area innovation *Work in a very fast paced environment
Qualifications:
*8+ years combined experience in software and web development (a minimum of 5 years needs to be a web environment) *Solid experience in C++ or other object oriented language, as well as MS SQL server experience *Extensive working knowledge with XML, XSLT, XHTML, DHTML, JavaScript and related web technology *Professional working knowledge of Microsoft's development technologies especially IIS, ASP, ASP.NET, C#, COM/COM+, ADO, ADO.NET, and Visual Studio.NET *Good knowledge in optimizing stored procedures, providing data models and logical database designs, and determining SQL processing bottlenecks *Java and Flash experience a big plus *Excellent interpersonal, language and project management skills
