Program Manager
Program Managers are responsible for the overall business management of projects from development through production. Internally, Program Managers play the dual role of client advocate and frog-team advocate. Publicly, we are ambassadors to frog, our processes and our beliefs. Our goals are numerous. We must ensure high quality work is delivered on time and on budget, create a supportive and efficient production environment and maintain and build on client relationships before, during, and after projects. Program Managers must also be the internal voice of reason that ensures profitable and healthy projects for frog. Program Managers are the balance between frog's business and creative goals.
Essential Functional duties (most important parts of job):
Program Managers manage large projects from inception through completion and support the Executive Program Managers in the running of the Program Manager's Group. Program Managers are primarily responsible for managing client expectations and to ensure delivery meets expectations. Responsibilities include working with Account Executives to manage smooth project start. Program Managers also negotiate contracts, coordinate design and technology staff activities, represent clients internally, maintain job review sites, create and manage budgets and schedules, hire contractors as needed and maintain team morale. Program Managers will negotiate with discipline leads for resource planning and allocation to projects. Program Managers are also responsible for budget control and cost analysis (using SAP) on their project and communicating such details to the Executive Program Managers, and Executive Project Sponsors. All issues impacting deliverables, schedules, and budget should be maintained with thorough documentation. Proactively communicating schedule slips and scope change is imperative. In addition to these tasks, Program Managers are expected to make a contribution in the defining and refining of Program Managers Group tasks and processes. Program Managers are expected to manage large-scale, multi-location, and cross-discipline projects.
Qualifications:
7+ years project management experience
Experience from a client service organization; preference with a creative team
Excellent understanding of brand, project and account management
Strong professional/academic credential including business background
Strong understanding of Project Accounting
Experience with Business Software and Analysis Tools (SAP or other ERP system a plus)
