My name is Laura Hunter and I am a technical recruiter that specializes in placing UI Professionals. I currently have an opening for a Speech UI Designer in Massachusetts. I was hoping to find out who you know that would be a good fit for this position.
The Speech UI Designer will be creating speech interfaces for potential inclusion in the next generation of entertainment systems. Working with a small team within a larger initiative, you will exercise your creativity to design, develop tests, and deploy innovative user interfaces that must achieve world class usability. Your focus will be on the speech component and if successful it will be a critical part of a multimodal interface, and you will need to work with others on the design team to consider how speech should potentially complement other forms of input. You will also work closely with speech recognition and embedded software engineers to ensure the recognition tasks and implementation are practical, but your own knowledge in these areas will be helpful.
Requirements:
* 5+ years experience in user-centricdesign,creating and deploying interfaces that wow
* Proficiency with tools needed to fully describeaspeech UI design
* Excellent communication skills, speakingandwriting
* Bachelor's or Masters Degree inInteractionDesign, Human Factors, Behavioral Sciences, Psychology, orLinguistics
* Strong preference for fluency in at least oneofthe major European languages
* Preference for direct experience with dialogflowdesign, directing voice talents, running usability tests, and tuning
* Preference for prototyping skills in directororflash
* Preference for familiarity withspeechtechnologies, including ASR, TTS, speaker verification Salary for the position is open at this time. Relocation may be available for the right person. Benefits are excellent and the company is internationally recognized.
