A&E Television Networks, a global multi-media company that includes A&E Network, The History Channel, and various brand extensions, is looking for a Technical Operations and Usability Manager in its E-Commerce department.
The position is full-time and based in Stamford, CT.
Position Summary:
Responsible for project managing and implementing technical operations and usability initiatives for AETN’s online store and consumer direct businesses, including the creation of new functionality and customer experience enhancements that drive revenue growth, improve sales conversion, and increase customer satisfaction. Lead efforts in optimal use and improvement of overall store platform and ensure successful integration of online technical strategy with online marketing strategy.
Responsibilities:
* Manage technical web projects for e-commerce and direct-to-consumer marketing initiatives through all phases, including: requirement definition, design, technical integration, development, testing, implementation, and successful ongoing production environment support and issue resolution.
* Maintain day-to-day operations of online store, including weekly migration process to update live site with new content and promotions, QA relating to testing daily maintenance fixes and bugs, and prioritization, scope and management of all IT requests. Work closely with e-commerce, and IT teams, as well as external vendors, including fulfillment house.
* Responsible for creation, development and testing of marketing scenarios, promotions, upsells, A/B testing.
* Expected to stay updated on new e-commerce technologies and generate ideas for improving success of marketing campaigns.
* Focus on all aspects of end-user experience, including information architecture, content design and creation, usability testing, improving the site experience, and determining unmet customer needs. Manage usability redesign projects with outside customer experience firm.
* Capitalize on advantages and flexibility of e-commerce software (ATG
Dynamo) and implement marketing and merchandising tools and enhancements for growing business.
* Work with external vendor and IT team to manage upgrade to new versions of e-commerce platform and databases. Help establish test plans, rollout schedule, resources, and manage front end QA process.
* Hands-on HTML/JHTML coding, including development of landing pages, pop- ups, and copy, to fulfill marketing and merchandising initiatives.
* Participate in the evaluation and selection of technology vendors on an as-needed basis.

* Focused self-starter with ability to effectively juggle and complete multiple tasks in a fast pace, deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree
* Minimum 4-7 years work experience, preferably in online marketing and/or e-commerce.
* Minimum 3 years online technical operations and project management.
* Proficient in HTML, JHTML, CSS, Java, and SQL, with the ability to hand- code without a WSIWYG editor.
* Expert in using PowerPoint or Visio to create wireframes and siteflow diagrams.
* Experience in direct response multi-channel consumer environment
* Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with web graphics production, web publishing technologies, client/server environments, networks, relational database technology, and Internet technology (including e- commerce).
* Excellent communication, problem-solving and project management skills
* Experience with Web analytics tools (Omniture preferred)
* Experience with e-commerce platforms (ATG Dynamo preferred)
* Knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
* Must have proven ability in bridging technical, marketing and merchandising fields
