Software Architect for Application Design Engineering

What will your role be?
Interface with marketing to ensure that both the look and feel as well as the functionality matched market needs and would set requirements for the software engineers to produce the application.
What is an ideal background for this job?
Ideally, you have a background in software engineering with experience in both application and interaction design. Strong experience working with graphics designers (for multimedia, entertainment, gaming, etc.) is a strong plus. Your expertise is developing applications that are user-focused and that have a GUI as a core component of the system. Your background in HCI is highly desirable here.
What are the overall responsibilities?
Work with systems engineering and marketing to produce application requirements (both look and feel and functional)
Flesh out the application details within the context of the system architecture
Design the user interface for the application
Education
B.S. in engineering or related field
Skills
Ability to multi-task effectively and work independently
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Thrive in team environment
Required Experience
o Minimum 5 years relevant professional experience
o Design of applications that are user-focused and contain a GUI
Desirable Qualifications
Master’s degree
Software engineering background
Software development skills in an object-oriented language, preferably Java
Concentration in HCI or related field
