User Interface Designer (Adobe Common UI Team)

Responsibilities:
Adobe is seeking a skilled Interaction Designer with user research skills to join the talented team of people working on Adobe's license management technologies (e.g., product activation, trial software, etc.). This person will focus on designing streamlined workflows and user experiences for a variety of potential customers, from corporate enterprise clients, to IT administrators, to individual end users. Work includes designing next generation product interfaces through the creation of design mockups, specifications and flowcharts. The designer will also work closely with their product team to identify research needs throughout the entire development cycle. He/she will be primarily responsible for conducting hands-on research, which may include methods such as site visits, interviews, usability studies and heuristic evaluations. The designer must be able to communicate and advocate for prioritized recommendations to a broad cross-functional team. The designer will have the opportunity to collaborate with all of the UI Team's disciplines -- User Interface Designers, User Researchers, Visual Designers, and Technical Writers.
Qualifications:
An interaction designer with user research skills that has demonstrated the initiative and follow-through needed to fashion and drive a design that is shared across multiple products. Requires a Bachelors degree in Human Computer Interaction, Product Design, Graphic Design or related field, and a minimum of 4 years experience designing software interfaces. Must have previous experience executing various research methodologies, and performing data collection and analysis. Should have experience with Adobe's products. A passion for simple and elegant design is required. Must have a natural interest in technology with the ability to grasp and distill highly complex issues. Must have experience in creating mockups, storyboards, UI specifications, flowcharts, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Thorough knowledge of both the Macintosh and Windows operating systems is required. Must be a natural diplomat with strong communication, coordination and scheduling skills and be willing to prove themselves within a company of talented individuals. Attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics are required.
