Department of Industrial Engineering

The Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applicants for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position beginning August 2005 in one of the following areas: decision sciences/operations research, health systems engineering, human factors and ergonomics, or manufacturing and productions systems. Candidates should have evidence of performance or strong potential to establish and maintain a high quality program of research in Industrial Engineering, and evidence of performance and/or capability and commitment to teaching and mentoring of IE students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or related to the areas of interest listed above is required. Also ensure that three confidential letters of reference from well respected authorities in the field be sent directly to Professor Harold Steudel at the same address.
