Responsibilities:
The Senior User Interface Designer will be a key contributor within highly interactive cross-functional product development teams. The Senior Designer will be directly responsible for key design projects creating user interaction models, screen flows, wireframes, and low and high-fidelity prototypes. The designer will receive little direction on medium size projects and some direction on complex projects. In addition, the Senior Designer will raise and advocate user experience issues within the organization, and contribute to the evolution of our software development process.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years experience with user experience design for desktop
applications and web environments
* Effectively apply user-centered design methods to development of
software products
* Masters degree in design, psychology, human factors or related field
* Deep understanding of design fundamentals including information
design, visual design, interaction design, and best practices to
achieve ease of use.
* Proficiency with current design tools (e.g., Dreamweaver, PhotoShop,
Illustrator)
* Proficiency with HTML, DHTML, and JavaScript
* Deep knowledge of best practices adopted in web products as well as
competitors' offerings
* Effectively function within interactive cross-functional teams
* Effectively influence others and arbitrate disagreements to reach
decisions
