USABILITY ENGINEER
NCR FINANCIAL SOLUTION GROUP LTD - DUNDEE
Responsibilities
The position is to provide user centred evaluations of existing design solutions for self-service terminals for banks. The nature of these evaluations will vary depending on maturity of the design. The evaluations will be used to guide the design of the servicing and replenishment interface of the products. The successful candidate will be working within the Design, Usability and Accessibility team which is part of Architecture & Technology in support of the Development teams responsible for self service banking products and devices.
Activities
- Design and develop Usability activities to support project requirements
- Execute the User Centred Design (UCD) process
- Focus on the servicing and replenishment interfaces of Automated Teller Machines
- Plan and assist in the validation of new ideas
- Support intermediate and senior Design, Usability and Accessibility Associates
- Develop a high level of understanding of customer requirements and NCR Self-Service solutions
- Be aware of and evaluate competitors self-service solutions
- Attend appropriate Financial Industry and Usability conferences and seminars and provide timely and concise feedback to DU&A team members
- Active participation in DU&A brainstorming events
- Develop and deliver presentations and reports to support the effective communication of project activities and results to internal audiences.
Education and Background
- Honours degree or equivalent in Psychology, Biological Sciences, Ergonomics (Human Factors), or equivalent experience
- Formal education / experience in Usability using information technology
- 2 years relevant industrial experience
- Good University or Industry project portfolio
- An adaptable and flexible attitude is essential.
