The College of Communication Arts and Sciences (CAS) at Michigan State University is searching for a dynamic tenure track colleague in Human Computer Interaction (HCI).
Our new colleague is expected to impart knowledge to lively, inquisitive students, design novel HCI approaches and implement innovative research in any of the intriguing areas of HCI.
The successful candidate will reside primarily in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences (75%), with an additional research appointment (25%) in the MSU Usability & Accessibility Center, collaborating with other scientific and humanities disciplines to produce knowledge in such areas as cognitive science, ubiquitous computing, CSCW, interactive media design, human factors, social computing, interfaces, usability, accessibility and computer mediated communication.
The new Usability & Accessibility Center at Michigan State University is a cross-disciplinary unit designed to provide leadership in evaluating the degree to which new interface technologies are useful, usable, accessible and appealing to a broad audience.
Applicants must hold a terminal degree appropriate to their specialization (e.g., Ph.D. or MFA).
